• REPOST: The Story Behind the Story

    Hello Strangers and Friends,

    I thought it might be time to revisit the “Weeping Prophet,” Jeremiah. He’s one of many examples of what a life in exile can look like for God’s faithful people. Navigating life in our current exile is often a tricky, tumultuous road of long-suffering. And for so many of his followers, that’s the only thing it will ever be. Sometimes, that’s what people are called into. Trusting God’s promises–that he has a plan for good, that he will never leave us or forsake us, that we are a light to the world and sign of his hope–is the key. Here are some thoughts to ponder, then: do we see and trust God’s story behind the story of our lives–do we trust it; do we realize that our lives are meant to be a sign of hope in a dark and broken world? Think about it.
